The Divisional Secretariat is located after a 200meter walk from the Filling Station on Devinuwara – Tangalle road towards Thalpavila on the Devinuwara – Thalpavila Road.
The Divisional Secretariat is consisted of 39.2 square k.m. and surrounded from, Dickwella Division by East, Matara and Thihagoda Divisions by West, Kamburupitiya Division by North, and wholly from the Coast by South.
With a Vision and Mission entirely on service orient in nature, helping to serve the inhabitants efficiently from birth to death is our goal.
The Devinuwara Divisional Secretariat was known in the past as the Divisional Revenue Officer’s Division named Wellaboda Patthu and Kadawath Sathara.
Early in the decade 1980, this was a sub office to the Matara AG Office. And in 9181 parts of Matara and Dickwella Divisional Secretariats were joined to form the Divisional Secretarait – Devinuwara. In 1992 this was brought closer further to the general public.
By now the Divisional Secretariat is consisted of 41 Grama Niladharee Divisions.
